Kendall Jenner Is Probably a More Successful Photographer Than You, and That’s OK

  1. So she’s a famous girl who knows famous people. If she didn’t have either advantage she would not be published anywhere. Her work isn’t extraordinary or even good…..that is what people bristled about.

  2. I see both sides of the discussion. The article tends to give more credit than is due, I think. Just being in the environment doesn’t immediately impart knowledge on someone. I don’t think you can learn lighting by being in front of lights- you need to be behind them to see the results (and looking at the pictures doesn’t count).

Hey look, people get jobs because of who they know, not what they know. And that sucks. But it is what it is.

But in the end, I’m gonna guess that the people that use her “talents” behind the lens will, after milking her celebrity, go back to the pro photographer. And after all, the more time she spends behind the lens, the less her celebrity will mean. She has to balance that with time in front of the lens… unless she really ups her game as a photographer.

  3. Whatever. Photographers can be bitches. I’ve seen it. They’re just hating on this girl cause she’s famous, cause she’s always in the spot light. I don’t see anyone crying about “The Big Unit” Randy Johnson taking up the camera.
