The Eyes Have It; But The Homeless Have The Eyes

Not all people who have met the misfortune of homelessness are homogeneous and can be lumped into one group. Homelessness does not define a person. Rather, it is a description of one’s circumstances and not who they are. Let us never forget that these are individuals with their own special stories and the blessing of life from God. Furthermore, the label alone will never define the potential of a single person. Just ask world-renowned author and humanitarian, J.K. Rowling. However, […]

Exhausted On The Corporate Ladder? Climb This First…

Everything in life is relative. If we are open-minded, our perspective is constantly changing which is the way we were designed. As we learn and grow the more we know. A closed mind interferes with this process and makes us vulnerable to prejudice, ignorance, and neglect. Neglect for all the blessings in our life because we are not willing to know and appreciate the world around us. Many of us are at a stage in life where “climbing the corporate […]

Rare Photos of Tribe Spur Urgent Pleas to Protect It

God has created an amazing spectrum of culture that we must protect and cherish. If we grow up thinking that everyone must look and be like us, we miss the blessing of diversity and the sheer potential of man’s inventive nature.

Here Is Your Present… Now What? Seize Control!

There are gifts. There are presents. And then there is the ultimate gift which is the present.

Can You Find Beauty In Hardship?

For most of us, the life of those depicted in the images from this NPR article is simply unimaginable. Still, there is an immense beauty about them that is not easily understood. Probably because hardship brings out the absolute best in us. It separates us from our comfort zone that tends to take off the pressure of truly “living life” and pursuing our full potential. Hardship builds character. It inspires the possiblity of the impossible. It humbles us to the point where our humanity radiates love, […]

Greg Pai On “The Voice of the Heart” and photographingGOD Podcast

Journey with photographingGOD founder and photographer, Greg Pai as he leads you through the perils of “the voice of the world” that distances us from our natural existence and connection with God as it defines, informs, and motivates us. Greg suggests an alternative voice that speaks from our hearts. And it was this very voice that inspired Greg to launch photographingGOD.

When The World Goes Low…

What Is True Joy? Doing well and doing good not only go together, but are among the secret ingredients of true joy. Not the joy that comes from graduating from college, landing your first job, getting married, having a child, buying your dream car or home, or retirement. Those things are joyful, but they are also fleeting. Their elation will last for a time and will undoubtedly be interrupted by life’s unfortunate circumstances. However, true joy gives us the strength to look […]

Cat Got My Tongue

I grew up believing I was allergic to cats and dogs. I later learned this was nothing more than a fable fabricated by others to discourage me from wanting a pet. So the TIME story, “Here Are Some Adorable Photos Of Kittens Pouncing” grabbed my tongue and inspired me to write a personal memoir, not about cats per se, but about life. Fast forward many years later, I found myself wandering into a pet store and buying my first dog. It […]

The World According To The World. A Frightening Look.

Whatever belief system you subscribe to, I think most of us can agree that civilization is becoming increasingly self-destructive. I suppose we may have been more barbaric in the distant past (and that may be debatable). Yet, has man’s creation of increasingly complex systems including government, finance & economics, health & medicine, organized religion, education, agriculture, commerce, technology, science, communications, media, and transportation, promoted progress for the human race? Is progress leaving anyone behind? Are we eradicating sickness and poverty; improving the quality, […]

Congratulations! You Are Destined To Conquer The Impossible!

Congratulations! By clicking this article, you are on your way to conquering the impossible – Your special impossible. The term “impossible” places such a burden on our lives as we grow up being told that more things are impossible than possible and that those things that are possible by someone are simply not possible by us. The reality is the contrary. Each of us has our own possible impossible. However, it requires a self-confidence and more importantly, a strong faith in God […]

Minimum Wage? Not!

You can honor God in all you do. Especially in your profession, whatever it may be. Working for God is NOT a religious position. Working for God is the ONLY position. We can seek, serve, and honor God in every aspect of our profession. Often however, it means comprising our selfish ambitions for success and wealth creation for greater and a more impactful purpose. Always, it means performing our jobs at the highest levels and acknowledging God as the giver of all talent, skill, […]

My Public Profession

You know me as a photographer, writer, and Founder of photographingGOD. I also want you to know me as a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. Yes – that would make me a Christian. However, I want to live like Christ more than any label could offer. Frankly, religion and labels do more to offend me than not. Probably, because man has used them both for his own divisiveness. The current election in the United States is proof positive of that. —MORE

Rainy Day Weddings

We have been so conditioned to have high expectations. Many of them aren’t even our own. Like expectations imposed on us by family or friends. Then God throws a curve ball into our expectations and our first reaction is disappointment. So often however, history writes a story grown out of such disappointments that result in glory beyond anything we could have ever imagined. I had my first date with my wife in the pouring rain. It was hardly what we would have hoped […]

Ever Feel Like Your Life Is Going Nowhere?

Do you feel like your life is going nowhere? I have great news. Nowhere is always somewhere; It just may not feel like anywhere right at the moment. Yet, life is not just a moment, but a continuum of moments strung together to form a glorious story. Your story. How do I know this is true?

God create you for greatness. You are an amazing creation with amazing ability and potential. Be patient and savor the moments. Be intentional, yet regard your current circumstances as part of a bigger plan. There is a bigger plan. Think back to the many times in the past you felt this way and then suddenly your circumstances changed. You may feel like you are in the middle of nowhere right now but I assure you, you are very much in the middle of somewhere. Blessings… -gp

Our “We Need A Quote Winner” Is Allen Jose Hinahon Tingzon

We needed a quote. And the photographingGOD community responded. So many to choose from. More importantly, it was a blessing to enjoy the inspirations that were shared. Really, they are all winners, and so, WE are all winners. However, we choose one to feature and that honor went to Allen Jose Hinahon Tingzon of Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. When asked what photographingGOD meant to him, Allen told us this… “photographingGOD is a very unique platform to express one’s faith in God and […]

Selfie (I Mean Selfish-ie) Overload!

Nine Places You Should Never Take A Selfie (USA.com)
Finally, someone took enough notice to at least lay down some ground rules for these things. Selfies, or as I call them “Selfish-ies,” are jamming up the cloud with images that are like plaque on one’s arteries.

Let There Be Light!

Parish Kohanim, a sought-after commercial photographer, will never forget the flowers of his childhood in Shiraz, Iran.

A Blessing? Yes… A Blessing!

Through adversity, life is lived. This may be easier said than appreciated. However, I have said it myself and truly believe it. But, what does Mr. Duley’s amazing story and perspective say about it. Well, it says a lot…

The Blessing Of Seeing

“You Will Never See Life The Same Way Again!”

How Many People Does It Take To Screw In A Lightbulb?

“It takes only one filled with the love of God. We have been given a limitless ability to light up a room (or the world) and love one another. And love is best expressed when we overcome the voice of the world and what the world teaches us, for the voice of the heart which is true and pure.” -Greg Pai

Love, Peace and Blessings my friends.

Is The Grass Greener On The Other Side?

Delight in the circumstances you face because it is likely exactly where you are supposed to be.

Every Single Breath, Eyelash, Finger, Toe, Cry and Grin…

I love watching God take our disappointments in life and turn them into abundant blessings

Enjoy The Ride!

Taxi! Taxi! Hail A ride. Life is grand. I’m Alive! City streets lined in yellow. God’s sure good to this average fellow.

Going Forward From The Past

Every new year comes with the anticipation of things to come. Often, the anticipation consumes us where we forget about the prior year from which we came. Surely your life was blessed in so many ways in 2015. Surely the year had it’s challenges and trials as well. How easy it is for those painful moments and events to consume us and cause us to forget what we had and still have. Each evening during the last months of last year, […]

All Children Are Born With Talents From God

An angel I am. An angel I’ll be. Look deep inside. It’s God that you’ll see. A funny face. An innocent trouble. God made me clever. But will shape me humble.

What Is The Most Magical Surprise?

God’s finger is always on our lives even when we are not conscience of it. But every now and then, we will experience an extraordinary sense of being loved. It might come from a friend, a spouse, a pet, an audience, a stranger, or maybe from within. This is God’s love.

It May Be Time To Get Your Photographer On!

See how 13 year old Emma Ketterer uses photography to get out of bed every morning.

Why Smile?

A smile is an expression of joy or delightful amusement. But it is also a way of giving that costs nothing. Smiling, like yawning, is contagious. This is actually a reflex God added to our design. We tend to respond to people with a like expression to theirs as part of our brain’s way of interpreting and understanding what they are feeling. So when you smile, you are gifting that smile and potentially lifting the spirits of another.

Do You Have A Train To Catch?

I know. Easier said than done. But how true and profound. Why are we so preoccupied with getting to the destination and so little attention is given to the journey. From when we are young, we are hammered to get good grades so we can go to a good college. We are convinced we need to do well in college so we can get a good job. We strive to do well at our job so we can climb the ladder. We […]
