Hands-On: The Pentax K-1 Full-Frame DSLR Is Here At Last

  1. I have a Nikon D3100, but one day it began to take pictures that were solid black. I took it to a local camera shop the other day and the worker diagnosed it as the shutter being stuck. He suggested me to send it in for repairs, which he estimated the fix to be around $250. I can’t send it in to the shop for repairs, because I don’t have that kind of money…

  2. I love my Pentax cameras. They take a beating and just keep clicking. I shoot them in the rain and snow and never had a problem. Now in full frame? Shut up and take my money!

  3. I never thought I’d see the day. I’m really happy for all the loyal Pentaxians out there. I had moved onto Nikon full frame a few years ago but held onto all my Pentax film cameras and lenses. I had a K-5 and it was such a well built camera, rugged and ergonomic. I definitely would love to try the K-1 with one of manual K-mount lenses at some point. Maybe for those foraying into full frame DSLR and haven’t invested heavily into their system yet might consider going Pentax – this would be the time.
